Baby K’tan, LLC was founded in 2007 by the Chesal and Wernick families, each raising a child with special needs. Both families began researching best practices for healthy infant development and were quickly introduced to the world of babywearing. Using a carrier is not only practical, but also helps promote a strong parent- child bond, along with many other developmental and hands-free benefits. The families experimented with various slings, wraps and carriers and combined the best features into their own patented design, creating their flagship product, the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier!
After many years in the baby industry, they started seeing how this exciting and innovative product also helped small pets bond with their humans while giving them hands free support. Thus, the K’tan team decided to expand into the pet industry!
